HIAB Hire Hull

The Port of Hull moves around 10 million tonnes of cargo a year across containers, dry bulk, and ro-ro freight, and that trade shapes the whole of Kingston upon Hull’s economy. HTF Transport provides professional HIAB hire across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire as part of our dedicated UK-wide service, with container handling and HIAB-assisted port logistics a constant local demand.

We cover Hull city centre, Hessle, Anlaby, Bilton, Sutton-on-Hull, Bransholme, and Hedon across the HU1 to HU13 postcode districts, plus Cottingham (HU16), Beverley (HU17), Brough (HU15), and Howden (DN14), and across the Humber into North Lincolnshire. Beyond HIAB crane hire, HTF Transport provides a full range of transport and logistics services across Hull. Port work rarely arrives in neat, one-size packages, so our fleet is set up for everything from a single quayside lift to sustained project support.

Who Are HTF Transport?

HTF Transport is a family run haulage and lifting company working from a depot in Audenshaw, east Manchester. We have been moving and lifting loads for customers since 1989, and today run a modern fleet of HIAB crane lorries, tractor units, ramp equipped vehicles and 4×4 LCVs.

Every lift is carried out by our own trained operators rather than subcontracted out, so the person on the crane is the person we are accountable for. The fleet holds FORS Silver accreditation, all vehicles are ADR compliant for hazardous loads, and every unit is TomTom tracked so we can give you accurate progress on your delivery. We work around the clock, including nights and weekends, for jobs that need road closures or out of hours access.

A Euro 6 vehicle brought in for generator work

A new Euro 6 unit added to the fleet for generator transport, keeping us compliant for clean air zones and reducing emissions in areas of poor air quality.

All About HIAB Hire in Hull

  • Which areas of Hull do you cover for HIAB hire?

We cover the whole of Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire for HIAB hire, including the city centre, Hessle, Anlaby, Bilton, Sutton-on-Hull, Bransholme, and Hedon across the HU1 to HU13 districts, plus Cottingham (HU16), Beverley (HU17), Brough (HU15), and Howden (DN14). We also work across the Humber Bridge into North Lincolnshire.

  • How much does HIAB hire cost in Hull?

Costs come down to the crane capacity required, how long you need it, and the access conditions at your site. Hull anchors the eastern end of our planned M62 route network, so scheduled work can be quoted at planned rates rather than emergency-only pricing, with day-rate, multi-day, and project options for longer contracts. We always provide a transparent quote before any work begins; call us on 0161 785 9691 for a free, no-obligation quote.

  • How quickly can you get a HIAB to Hull?

Hull sits within our planned East Yorkshire coverage, reached along the M62 and A63. Urgent jobs can be accommodated same-day subject to fleet availability, while scheduled bookings are the best fit for planned projects. For 24-hour emergency requirements we can mobilise from our Audenshaw depot.

  • Do you provide HIAB hire for the Port of Hull and container handling?

Yes. The Port of Hull handles around 10 million tonnes of cargo annually across containers, dry bulk, ro-ro, and project cargo. We provide HIAB-equipped vehicles for container handling, project cargo delivery, and inland container haulage, and our flatbed and curtain-side fleet transports 20ft and 40ft containers up to 26 tonnes self-loaded. With the A63 linking the docks to the M62, Hull container work routes cleanly onto our planned corridor network.

  • Can you support Siemens Gamesa and the offshore wind sector in Hull?

Yes. Siemens Gamesa’s Alexandra Dock blade factory is one of the largest renewable energy manufacturing sites in the UK, supplying offshore wind farms across the North Sea. While turbine blades themselves require specialist abnormal load haulage, our HIAB fleet supports the wider supply chain: bearings, generator components, modular plant equipment, and substation hardware delivery. Hull’s status as a Green Port City means demand is sustained and growing.

  • Do you operate with ADR compliance for Saltend Chemicals Park?

Yes. Saltend Chemicals Park is one of Europe’s largest integrated chemical and biotechnology sites, home to companies including INEOS, Vivergo Fuels, Mitsubishi Chemical, Air Products, and px Group. Our drivers and vehicles are fully ADR compliant for the safe transport of dangerous and hazardous goods, which is essential for any HIAB hire serving Saltend’s process plant and chemical logistics requirements.

  • Can you support Hull Maritime regeneration and Albion Square redevelopment?

Yes. The Hull Maritime project is a £30 million heritage and waterfront regeneration including the restoration of the Spurn Lightship, the Arctic Corsair, and the Maritime Museum. Albion Square is a major mixed-use development in the city centre. We provide HIAB crane hire for delivering construction materials, heritage restoration components, steel, and modular elements to these and other active development sites across central Hull.

  • Do you serve East Yorkshire and the wider rural region around Hull?

Yes. East Yorkshire covers a substantial rural area between the Humber and the coast, with agricultural, food production, and rural construction activity across the Holderness plain and the Yorkshire Wolds. We provide HIAB hire across this region with vehicle types suited to country lane and farm-site access. For particularly restricted sites we also operate 4×4 pickup vehicles for tooling and equipment delivery.
