HTF Transport moves and lifts oversized glass: sliding door panels, sealed units, rooflights, balustrades and shopfront glazing. Panels travel secured in stillages and frames, and the crane lifts them to where the installers are waiting.
Modern glazing has outgrown manual handling. Gable glazing, oversized sliding doors and structural rooflights are too big and too heavy to carry through a building, and too valuable to risk on improvised lifts. Our HIAB vehicles deliver the glass and lift it to the opening, over the building for rooflights, or to upper floors where reach and weight allow.
We plan each glass movement around panel sizes, weights, the stillage or frame it ships in and where the vehicle can safely stand.
We work alongside glazing installers: we handle the transport and the crane lift, they handle the final manoeuvring, sealing and fitting. Deliveries are timed so the glass arrives when the installation team and any specialist handling equipment are ready, because glass should come off the vehicle once, not sit on site.
Glass lifts are wind-sensitive, so lift plans respect the conditions on the day. Everything runs under our HIAB hire operation with a trained operator on the crane, with our haulage fleet covering standard framed and crated glazing loads.

For more information on glass transport and lifting, please get in touch.
Can you lift glass onto a roof or upper floor?
Yes, subject to panel weight and crane reach. Rooflights are lifted over the building and panels can be presented to upper-floor openings where the geometry works.
How is the glass carried?
In stillages, A-frames or the crates it ships in, strapped and secured for transport. We confirm the stillage type when you book so the right vehicle and lifting arrangement are used.
Do you install the glass?
No, we deliver and lift. Your glazing team handles final positioning, sealing and fitting, and we time the lift around them so the panel goes from vehicle to opening in one movement.
What happens if it is too windy?
Glass lifts are wind-sensitive, so the operator assesses conditions on the day and lifts only when it is safe. We plan dates with that in mind and rearrange promptly if the weather refuses to cooperate.
What details do you need to quote?
Panel dimensions, weights and quantities, how the glass is packed, both addresses and where the panels need to end up, with photos of the building and access.
